The Story

The forest changes when you stop looking up.

The North Woods are easy to understand from a distance: tall trees, dark water, an unbroken line of green.

Walk beneath the canopy and another landscape appears.

Hemlock branches hold the light overhead. Ferns gather in the openings. Moss works across old wood. Berries ripen along the edges, and the air carries evergreen, damp earth, and everything growing quietly between them.

This is the part of the forest that rarely makes the postcard.

The space below the canopy and above the ground—where shade, moisture, roots, leaves, fruit, and fallen wood build an entire world of their own.

Woodland Cassina was built from that layer of the forest.

Woodsy, berry-forward, and evergreen. Cassina gives the cup a green, tea-like base. Elderberry brings a dark berry edge; eastern hemlock and sweet fern add dry woodland aroma. Roasted dandelion root gives depth, while elderflower, juniper berries, and osmanthus leave a light floral-citrus finish.

Built for the Trail

For the miles beneath the canopy.

Some trails are defined by the view at the end.

Others are about everything you pass on the way there.

A patch of fern beside the trail. A fallen trunk disappearing beneath moss. The sudden coolness under an old hemlock. A small lake glimpsed through the trees before the forest closes around it again.

Woodland Cassina belongs to that kind of country.

Not the summit. Not the overlook. The world between them.
