Most tea starts with a flavor. Ours starts with a place.
A ridgeline above the trees. Smoke hanging over prairie grass. A cold lake in the North Woods. Spring plants pushing through last year's leaves.
Those places have a taste to them.
Juniper Farms began with the idea that tea could capture some of it.
Not by inventing another flavor in a bottle. Not by spraying leaves until they taste like something they aren't. But by going back to the ingredients themselves—tea, fruit, bark, roots, flowers, herbs, and plants with stories of their own.
Whole ingredients. Wild landscapes. A cup built to take you somewhere.
01 · The Starting Point
The Landscape Comes First
We don't sit down and decide we need a blueberry tea or a mint tea.
We start with a place.
What grows there? What does the air smell like? What changes with the season? What would you notice if you stopped walking long enough to look around?
That might lead to sumac and bright green tea for the first push of spring. Eastern hemlock and sweet fern for the North Woods. Smoke, roasted botanicals and juniper for a prairie shaped by fire.
The landscape gives us the direction.
Then we build the blend.
That is why the names on our bags aren't simply descriptions of flavor. Prairie Haze. Black Orchard. Glacier Mint. Green Fire. Midnight Sun.
They're places, moments and pieces of country translated into tea.
02 · Whole Ingredients
You Should Be Able to See What You're Drinking
Open one of our bags and look inside.
You'll find leaves, berries, pieces of fruit, flowers, roots, spices and botanicals.
They look like ingredients because they are ingredients.
We like tea that still has some evidence of where it came from.
That philosophy has taken us well beyond the usual tea cabinet.
Cassina. Sumac. Sweet fern. Eastern hemlock. Juniper. Elderberry. Bee balm.
Some are familiar.
Some might send you down a rabbit hole.
That's part of the point.
The natural world is a much bigger pantry than most of us have been taught to notice.
03 · Life Outside
Tea for the Journey
We love the ritual of tea.
We just don't think the ritual has to be precious.
A good cup belongs beside a fire ring. On the edge of a lake. At a trailhead before sunrise. On a mountaintop when the wind finally gives you five quiet minutes.
And, yes, on the kitchen table when the closest you're getting to the mountains today is looking at a map.
Juniper Farms makes tea for all of it.

The cup doesn't have to be the adventure.
